From my experience, when upgrading to a major new version of i OS (i OS 5 to i OS 6) you notice less bugs and weird issues when you set up as a new device. If you use for your email address ([email protected], [email protected], [email protected]) then your Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Safari Bookmarks, Photo Stream, Reminders and i Work Documents will sync back up to your device once you on your i OS device.
This tutorial will go though the steps necessary to install i OS 6 and some tips to help you out incase you are having any issues updating.i OS 6 is updatable on i Phone 3GS, i Phone 4, i Phone 4s, i Phone 5, i Pod Touch 4, i Pod Touch 5, i Pad 2, i Pad 3, i Pad 4 and the i Pad mini. Depending on what i OS device you use you may not have access to all of the features included in i OS 6.For example, Siri is compatible on an i Phone 4s but not on an i Phone 3GS, this is simply because it does not support the system requirements (or because Apple wants more money).Apple released i OS 6 on September 19, 2012, and with this update came over 200 new features. This included the more popular features like 3D maps and GPS, Facebook integration, panorama pictures, passbook and a better Siri, among other updates.Even on devices that don’t support You Tube’s app, users can still navigate to You Tube’s mobile site in their web browsers to watch videos.
We love our i Phones here at Macworld, but an i Phone without the internet is an i Pod - and that isn't what we signed up for.Sony and Panasonic TV and Blu-ray players that use Google TV may not run the You Tube app.Devices that only support version 1 and version 2 of Google TV won’t be compatible with You Tube, while newer devices that support version 3 and version 4 will run the video app.Apple phones will have to run i OS 7 or i OS 8 in order to be compatible with You Tube.If you have the original i Phone, the i Phone 3G, or the i Phone 3GS, you’re simply out of luck, since they don’t support either operating system. The company is ending support for its You Tube app on many devices manufactured before 2013, including a number of Apple gadgets, because of upgrades to You Tube’s platform.
