Twenty-four year old Kimberly Combs witnessed the scenes.
She told Daily Mail.com: ‘Saturday me and my kids loaded up in the car we went to go to my mom’s for a cookout and we seen the coroner van in her driveway and they were there. My son and I noticed that there was somebody walking out with a body bag on a stretcher to put them in the coroner’s van.‘It was really frightening.’Kimberly who has lived in Berkshire Pointe trailer park where Erin and Steve lived with his mother, Donna Woods, recalled Erin as a ‘really nice woman’ who ‘gave out candy to the kids at Halloween.’ The autopsy findings released earlier today showed that Erin’s death was likely due to complications linked to the stage 4 cancer from which few seem to have known she was suffering.
Erin's widow: Steve Fleischmann, pictured with Erin Moran in 2009, revealed the Happy Days star had been suffering from aggressive throat cancer at the time of her death and that the disease had spread to her brain and spleen But he wrote: ‘It got so bad so fast.By the middle of February, Erin could no longer speak or eat or drink.We get like four days into December, there's more blood. Five days a week radiation and chemo only on Thursdays. She had a feeding tube implant and I feed her six to eight times a day. She needed Kleenex, so I went to the store and came back. Norton Cancer Institute never said how bad it was.. It had spread to her spleen, she had a lot of fluid in her lungs and part of her brain was infected.I get a flashlight and say 'let me look.' It was not her tongue it was her tonsil on the left tongue. So we went to an ENT who said they wanted to biopsy it. She was still happy, she was active, she texted people on her phone all day. The coroner said even if she was in the hospital being pumped full of antibiotics she still would not [have] made it.I feel [sic] asleep woke up about a hour later still holding her hand and she was gone, she was just gone.’Fleischmann said the cancer treatment facility 'never' mentioned how aggressive Erin's condition was, but said the coroner revealed to him that it was 'really really bad.' He was told the cancer had spread to Erin's spleen and brain, and that she had fluid in her lungs.
